Anyone know how to cut 20 oz copper into long strips? Can I use some kind of snips, or do I need a more specialized tool?
What a great idea. I'm all for shortcuts. Thanks Cathy, I'm going to use this idea myself.
What about sawing them if snipping that gauge hurts your fingers ... might save on buying the expensive equipment?
Thanks for the suggestions!
You can use a regular jewellers saw suggest 3/0 sawblades.
My husband had an idea for you. How about scoring deep in a straight line several times with a utility knife or flooring knife ... then you should be able to snap it off in straight lines.
Thanks! I ended up managing with snips.
