Crochet and corking
Possible Future Scenario
#5 Technological and Scientific Utopia
Even in this modern age we always go back to the past for inspiration. My piece is for the monthly ceremonial dinners. I wanted to create a light and airy neckpiece that gave the viewer the weight of a lot of material. I used the ancient fabric techniques of crochet in the body of the necklace and corking in the chain to create the neckpiece. Although this piece looks very large, it is very lightweight and easy to wear.
