I started studies at the Alberta College of Art and Design in 2016 and declared my major in Jewellery and Metals. Working at a fine craft offers the prestige of experience but I was actually hooked by the tools. Before I arrived at the college I had work in construction and I learned that a tool is only as good as its user. I was attracted by the process of construction and I feel the same towards silversmithing. The difference is I get to design as well as make. Silversmithing is all I can boast as of yet but I have an affinity for many materials.

I've recently received my first grant from the Calgary Foundation to repair the jewellery at Open Door Seniors for one semester. This is my first independent job in my field.
