Safety Requirements

Hello! I'm a beginner jewelry maker currently focused on sterling silver/ copper wire wrapped jewelry. This is mostly just a hobby, but I'd eventually like to make enough pieces to sell in local crafts fairs or potentially online. I'm wondering what kind of safety requirements need to be met to do this? For example, I know there are certain regulations regarding lead content in adult/children's jewelry that need to be met. As a beginning artist, how does one show that I'm using safe materials?…See More

My favorite moment as a goldsmith was the first time I saw a complete stranger wearing a piece of PASH jewellery. I was immediately drawn to it and after a moment of staring I realized I made that!

Hi Gillian
Thanks for befriending me! I think you made a marvelous cup for the Jewish show, I tried to do some knitting in metal and was completely hopeless not much better with the chrochetting(is that spelled correctly-looks funny). I also think you would be a strong edition to the board, with your business experience and I can tell you are a very organized person, something I am not!
Keep in touch
Charles
