Hey there!I'm a pretty new silver smith! I have just started up a little work bench of my own and I bought the EZ torch. It has been working really well the last few months, but this week the flame has started to surge and sputter. self taught-except for meeting great teachers along the way. Stone sculpture, Fossil Ivory carving, Gem cutting, stained glass, silver/gold smithing (David Ashley-teacher).
Share some of your career highlights or goals.
Received quite a few awards at the Great Northern Arts festival over the years including best metalsmith. Learned stone carving from the Inuit carvers at the same venue which I attended for ten years running (1999-2009)I preserve fossil mammoth tusks as well and love that part of my work. 2008 public solo exhibit at the Yukon Arts Center Gallery which included some of my first pieces of jewelry.
