Hello! I'm a beginner jewelry maker currently focused on sterling silver/ copper wire wrapped jewelry. This is mostly just a hobby, but I'd eventually like to make enough pieces to sell in local crafts fairs or potentially online. I'm wondering what kind of safety requirements need to be met to do this? For example, I know there are certain regulations regarding lead content in adult/children's jewelry that need to be met. Tell us about your education.
My education is diverse. I possess a BFA in metals and jewelry from Cleveland Institute of Art, a BS from Kent State University and an MS equivalent medical internship in dietetics.
Share some of your career highlights or goals.
My career highlights appear on my web site, which include being published in a book that draws from an international pool of artists and am due to be published again in 2011, but I am especially rewarded by being an educator of 3D design, sculpture and humanities.
