I began as a self-taught artist working with steel and exploring oxy-acetylene cutting, detailed grinding, heat colouring, and welding. At this point I was beginning to work on large outdoor sculptures and wanted to get my welding certificate. I then attended courses at Emily Carr to get a certificate in 3-D Design. I continue to to take courses in fine art, art history, and metalcraft.

My favorite project to date was a 15' x12' mural in aluminum using grinder, dremel, dyes, and stains to create the image. This piece hangs in the lobby of The Oliver Woods Community Centre in Nanaimo BC.
