Basic silversmithing in Fredericton

Basic Silversmithing.

A five day workshop will be offered at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design from July 6 to 10, 2009. I have taught this course a number of times in Nunavut, Haliburton Ontario and here at NBCCD. Five days will give you the basics for raising a vessel. If you are not a novice but would love to work on an unfinished project, this studio course is for you too.

I found a great new shop online

Good morning,



I've been following this blog for a while and finally gave in and decided to sign up. As my first contribution, I'd like to inform those of us looking for a one stop shop for metal clay supplies, I just found the greatest site. It's called Metal Clay Supply House out of Kemptville.

The mission

The mission:



I want give to myself a nursery of unusual rings, with a sculptural approach. Or rather, make sculptures who a have for theme the ring.



I want to produce quantity of rings essentially playful and mind-boggling. As a first step, I give myself a time to the laboratory where I would attempt unlikely and explore different combinations and techniques with fun and unexpected materials.
