There was a little box in the mail at the Metal Arts Guild head office this morning from San Mateo, California. Inside were three beautiful tin samples to add to our exhibition for Nuit Blanche - 10 000 Hours. Thank you Harriete Estel Berman for sending them in! It's so great that the word is getting out there to people and that they're really responding to our theme.
We really appreciate everyone who is sending us their little treasures, and the sooner you send them in the better. Sara Cummins is working on creating a stop motion animation of the construction of our art wall with the 10 000 pieces, and we need to get started on that right away.
Don't wait until our deadline - send in your work now! And if you'd like to get involved in the project, please drop me a line. We're going to need more volunteers for this one than we've ever required in the past. Because it is such an ongoing, long-term project, any level of support is beneficial to us. If you would like to just come down for an hour and nail up pieces, that's helpful.
For more info and the call for entry, go to the events tab, and the drop down menu lists Nuit Blanche. Click on that and you'll see the call there.
Thanks so much!
