Good Day,

How is everything with you, I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and deemed it necessary to write you immediately. I have something very vital to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on:(mrs.joycegyimah@gmail.com) for the full details.

Have a nice day

Thanks God bless.
Joyce.

I just found the post for copper repair. I'll talk to her - but unless she knows what kind of enamels were used it could be a nightmare...

Hello Diane....Thank You for accepting my friend invite.
Congratulations for the success of your "Moonrise". I was not able to visit Arta Gallery. I look forward to when the pictures of the show are posted here.

Have a great weekend.

Hello Diane...I am loving this new format for MAG. I have had a MAG membership since 2000 but unfortunately finances sometimes make me let it go delinquent. That is why I love that I can be here online, though it doesn't replace the wonderful MAGazine.
I am currently trying to find my way into the Art Jewellery community. I love viewing everyones' creations. I look forward to uploading more photos of my work as it develops and past jewellery pieces too. I understand only too well how easy it is to fall behind with ideas....so many ideas....so little time!

CHEERS! Frances

It's incredible that you have two kids now! Isn't Cloudio's work stunning? Me - oh after writing to deadline for a decade and co-authoring a book with Susan Lenart Kazmer, I needed to take my brain on vacation. I've discovered there's a colorful, fragrant world beyond my computer. The isolation can get to you after awhile. Have a lovely summer if we don't speak again.

Any chance Wire Artist will resurface?

Dianne strangely, I've come across your name numerous times this week. How amazing that you've met the exquisitely talented Claudio Pino. Are you still working with wire?

Dear Diane,
Hope you are going well. There is a wonderful article by Rebecca Ray Brantley in the Metalsmith where one of my ring is published. As a member of Metal Arts Guild of Canada... where should I post this to share the news with everyone. In the MAGazine? Many thanks,
All the best, Claudio

Hi Dianne please check your records, it was invoiced in April and a cheque issued (71491) cashed on June 26. Can I assume you will reinstate our membership to the current date? Ken

Dianne: Ken Vickerson left me a comment this morning; his students have written articles they'd like to publish, but the MAGazine tab in our website is empty (no criteria, deadlines, etc.). I have sent Ken the following message. Can you ask Ryan to update the MAGazine tab with the "real" submission criteria, deadlines for the Spring issue, etc.

Dear Ken:
It's great that your students have been writing, MAGazine is certainly interested in getting their work.

The basic requirements are: Word documents 500-1,500 words in length, accompanied by .psd/.tif/.jpg images at least 200 dpi, 4"x6". These can be photos, hi-res scans of sketches, illustration files (not sure about the way we need to get CAD or Illustrator files -- let's say hi-res .pdfs, for the moment). As with any other publication, MAGazine will edit for length/clarity/factuality.

We try to theme our issues, but don't let that stop your students from submitting; we're always looking for material. I might mention that the article on cutlery in the Fall 2008 issue is adapted from an essay I wrote for one of the OCAD Visual Culture courses, so students should also consider whether some of their academic writing might be a source of material -- we want MAGazine to be a publication about ideas.

Maegan Black and Dianne Karg Baron are the editor/asst editor respectively & I'll cc this comment to them. We'll get our web guy, Ryan Taylor, to put the publication details up on the MAGazine tab. We intended to do so when the MAG site was set up, thanks for reminding us!

I emailed Charles to see if he could expedite it, and he is going to get it to me within a week.

The mag isn't going to print before then, so there should be time to write/layout the review.

Hi, Dianne--

I've ordered the book, delivery takes 14-21 days apparently. I'll do the review as soon as it arrives; should be able to bang out 500 words with 24-48 hrs turnaround.

Will look at the articles tonight...

Hi Dianne
Thanks for the comment, I haven't seen the ad yet, did you see it in Metalsmith? I am busy working trying to get a few pieces done for Zilberschmuck Christmas sale at Shoa-Pin studio in the distillary district! She will be there from Dec.7-20.
